THE SDIII BREAKDOWN W/VIDEO CLIP
Some of the Catalyst guys who surf like pros (in their heads) have been riding the SDIII religiously over the past six months. We ride it 2" shorter than our standard shortboards. Where the SDII has a relaxed, flatter rocker, the SDIII has significant entry and tail rocker, allowing it to be extremely responsive for tight-radius turns in the pocket. A bit of extra width in the mid and hip regions allow for ease of speed generation in gutless surf. Basically, when you're at T-Street, you can hop across the flat sections to the little bowl sections, and, once there, be able to do a half-decent turn.

In Biolos' words: The pro's choice for smaller WQS style waves in '07. First released in '06, it has had the best response we ever had for a new model. A sleeker version of the SDII, with the vee removed from the tail, and latest fine tuned rocker, bottom and outline curves. Built with a vee deck to boxy, yet a thinner more sensitive rail than the SDII. Fits in tight pockets with lots of snap for quicker, high speed turns. This board has become our all around work horse of a short board. Comes standard now as a slight bump squash, but was ridden with success and made popular as double wing swallow by Ward. This is our "go to" board for most first time custom orders.
