When - The Sci Fi 2.0 will perform in a variety of conditions from 2-8 feet. The Sci-Fi is a high-performance all-rounder with an impressive range of 1-8 feet The Sci-Fi 2.0 has a bit further forward of a wide point than the original as well as more volume per length giving you more advantage in smaller conditions. The Sci-Fi 2.0 also has a more pulled-in tail and rocker. This combined with the ability to ride it shorter than the original allows the board to perform even better in fast beach breaks and in the pocket surfing.

What - The Sci-Fi 2.0 is an updated version of one of the most popular designs in surfing, the Firewire Sci-Fi. Expect seemingly unnatural acceleration, instantaneous response and an all-around level performance that can only be described as electric. The Sci-FI 2.0 comes with a 5-fin option. Available in Firewire’s famous LFT (Linear Flex Technology) that incorporates Firewire’s Springer HD which is a18 mm wide aerospace composite that runs down the centerline of the board. The SPRINGER HD runs the entire length of the board and plays a pivotal role in optimizing flex from nose to tail. This gives the board a lively feel that many surfers have come to love and is hard to mimic.
