When - The Monk Fish ideally likes average to good waves ranging from thigh+ to head +. Can handle larger surf in the round tail option.
What - The Monk Fish is a vee bottomed model which can be surfed more aggressively than fishes of the past. The Tip to Tail Vee allows this board to effortless transition between turns and keeps it from having a “Flat” feeling when surfing. The board paddles really well and also slices through surface chop with ease. A exaggerated rocker profile keeps the Monk Fish surfable in tight/steep waves. A very versatile model that will have you rethinking what a fish can do!
