The Mindcraft is built for surfers who want a direct, intuitive connection to their board. Ideal for performance-focused surfers looking for speed, precision, and control, it suits riders who enjoy surfing with intent—tight arcs, fast transitions, and confident surfing in powerful pockets. Thanks to its balanced volume and generous planing surface, it also works well for surfers who prefer riding a board slightly shorter than their standard shortboard.

What?
The Mindcraft is a minimalist, function-driven design featuring a refined outline described by Daniel Thomson as “a seamless blend of straightened and elliptical curves.” This outline generates instant speed and drive with pinpoint precision. A forgiving torpedo nose enhances control in critical moments, while a bump wing round tail enables tight, controlled turns at speed. Smoother, more continuous bottom contours paired with a moderate performance rocker and a single-to-double concave deliver effortless flow while keeping the board engaged on the wave face. Built with five fin boxes, the Mindcraft is optimized to be ridden as either a Quad or Thruster.

When?
The Mindcraft performs best in waves with energy and punch but remains versatile enough for smaller, clean conditions. Recommended for the 2–6 ft range, it thrives in well-defined pockets across reef, point, and quality beach breaks. The design excels when paired with Slater Designs Endorfins KSR or KS1 fin templates.
