C-Bucket Q&A
What size C-Bucket should I get?
The C-Bucket is a traditional mid-length, so ride it well longer than your shortboard, typically 6" to 12" or more, with plenty more volume. For example, a 5’11 shortboard rider usually looks at the 6’10 (21" x 2 11/16", 43.75 L) to the 7’6 (21 1/4" x 2 3/4", 49.34 L), and goes longer for more glide and trim. Stock sizes run from 6’6 (21" x 2 5/8", 40.64 L) to 9’0 (21 3/4" x 3", 66.04 L), and the model is most often seen from 6’6 up to 9’6. Our shop staff can help you pick a size.
What fins does the C-Bucket use?
A single fin in a single-fin box. Chris’s own templates by FCS are made for exactly this board: the FCS II Christenson Mid Tracker (7.5", 8" and 8.5"), tuned to match the drive and release of his mid-length designs, or the Christenson x FCS II Single Fin (7.5" to 9.5"), built for the smooth drive of his mid-lengths and classic shapes. Size the fin up with the board length and for more hold and trim, down for a looser feel.
