Who - The Hayden Shapes Hypto Krypto is built for every skill level, from everyday surfers to elite riders. Experienced surfers should ride it 1-2" shorter than their everyday shortboard; newer surfers should go 2" bigger, and anyone stepping down from a longboard or mini mal should start at 6'2 and up.
When - The Hypto Krypto is an all-conditions everyday board, from small 1-3 ft beach breaks up to barrels around 8 ft. It generates speed easily in average surf and holds up when the waves get better, at beach breaks, reefs and points.
What - A low rocker and wide nose and midsection help it paddle and make speed, while a pulled-in lower half and round pin tail give hold and drive on steeper sections. Extra volume sits under the chest. The bottom runs a rolled vee entry into single concave and a vee double out the tail, set up as a 5-fin (Futures or FCSII).
