Double Agent Q&A
What size Double Agent should I get?
The Double Agent carries its volume through the center, so ride it at your regular shortboard volume or a touch more, noticeably shorter than your shortboard. Comparing stock dims, it runs about 4" to 5" shorter than a standard performance shortboard of the same volume. For example, if you ride a 5’11 shortboard at about 28.5 L, look at the 5’7 (20" x 2 5/16", 28.08 L) or the 5’8 (20 ¼" x 2 3/8", 30.60 L). Stock sizes run from 5’4 (19" x 2 1/8", 23.19 L) to 6’6 (22 ½" x 2 ¾", 44.80 L). Our shop staff can help you pick a size.
What fins does the Double Agent use?
Ours come with five FCS II boxes, so you can ride it as a thruster or a quad. A balanced, all-round template suits it best: the FCS II Performer (Small, Medium, Large) or its Tri-Quad set, or on Futures the F4 / F6 / F8 Legacy. Run the quad for speed in softer waves and the thruster for control when the surf is better. FCS sizes its fins by weight: Small 120–155 lbs, Medium 145–175 lbs, Large 165–200 lbs. Futures’ Legacy series runs F4 (Small), F6 (Medium) and F8 (Large).
