What size Rocket Redux should I get?
The Rocket Redux is a small-wave board, ridden shorter and wider than your regular shortboard with a tad more volume: we recommend 1 to 2 liters more. In …Lost’s standard dims that works out about 2" to 3" shorter than a Driver 3.0, and about 3" to 4" shorter in the Wide dims. For example, if you ride a 5’11 Driver 3.0 (28.50 L), look at the standard 5’9 (19.75" x 2.45", 30.50 L) or the wide 5’7 (19.75" x 2.44", 29.50 L). Standard sizes run from 5’0 (17.75" x 2.15", 21.00 L) to 6’6 (22.00" x 2.80", 44.00 L), and Wide sizes from 5’4 (19.00" x 2.34", 26.00 L) to 6’4 (21.88" x 2.84", 43.75 L). What fins does the Rocket Redux use?
Most of our Rocket Redux boards carry five fin boxes (FCS II or Futures), so you can ride them as a thruster or a quad; a few are thruster-only. Neither FCS nor Futures lists this model in its …Lost guide, so we go by the template both brands pair with the Driver 3.0 and …Lost’s other performance boards. The template to look for is a raked, drive-oriented fin: on FCS II the Mayhem Driver Tri (Small, Medium, Large), with the Mayhem Driver quad rears (Medium, Large) for a quad. FCS classes the Mayhem Driver as a Carver-family fin: an elongated template with more sweep (rake), built for hold and longer, drawn-out turns. FCS sizes these fins by weight: Small 120–155 lbs, Medium 145–175 lbs, Large 165–200 lbs. On Futures, the Mayhem 3.0 5-Fin (Medium, Large) gives you the same rake template in a thruster-plus-quad set. Futures sizes its fins as Small 95–135 lbs, Medium 125–175 lbs and Large 165 lbs and up.

Birthed from a broken blank and the brains of Beschen (Shane) and Budroe, the original Rocket was to simply be a board for baby Beschen (Noah) to learn on.
Once ridden by Shane, everything changed, and he felt compelled to bring us his fabulous find to be refined. Happy accidents have been a staple of surfboard progression, since the beginning. As we started fine tuning and building them for the boys, we knew were had something special. Fast forward a year, and the 2009 video release of “5’5 Redux”. The ROCKET was a star of the show, ridden by a parade of guest rippers cutting loose on the little weapon. From Bros to Pros, The ROCKET was soon a global hit, being enjoyed by surfers of all shapes, sizes and skill sets. Now, more than a decade after its initial release, the ROCKET returns. We’ve strived to retain all the original ROCKET design details and magic:
The extremely low and fast entry rocker, counterbalanced by a hyper-extended tail curve, for instantaneous down the line drive and playfully precise turning. The deepest of concaves, created by a straight centerline stringer and a curvaceous rail rocker lends lift and liveliness. The wide tail and parallel, bullet like, outline provides plenty of speed and hold. The hooked diamond “Rocket” tail adds bite and hold in firm, rear footed carves.
While the ROCKET REDUX stays true to the original ROCKET, to bring a serious performance boost we’ve:
Refined and cleaned curves, made the rails a bit more refined, and updated some details just enough to keep up with the things we've learned since.
