What - The Griffin is a step-down performance shortboard based directly on Griffin Colapinto's small-wave and pool competition boards, tracing back to the 5'10" he rode to victory at the 2022 Surf Ranch Pro. A wider nose and tail pull into a precise rounded pin, giving the board a fuller, more forgiving outline on both ends. The low, fast entry rocker creates immediate speed, while the curvy performance tail rocker allows the board to turn hard and sharp, enabling Griffin's signature radical maneuvers. Overall width stays standard and close to a traditional performance shortboard—this is not a wide, clunky small-wave board. Instead, the more parallel outline carries speed and drive without ever feeling fat or flat. The result is a board that generates speed like a groveler but surfs like a shortboard, delivering high-performance surfing in the waves you actually get most days.
